Why Choose Whole-Structure Fumigation
with Bush Home Services and Vikane?
You can trust your decision when choosing whole-structure
fumigation with
Vikane gas fumigant. Get 100% assurance that all of the drywood termites in the home are eliminated.
Only whole-structure fumigation is proven to eliminate all
drywood termite infestations. Furthermore, only Vikane gas
fumigant has been proven through nearly half a century of
practical use in more than 2 million structures.
A pest control inspector would literally have to find
every hidden colony in a home for spot treatments to be
effective. And, because drywood termites hide inside wood,
often in inaccessible areas of the home, this task is nearly
impossible. Spot treatments only offer temporary or partial
results.
Trust your home to the Vikane trained professionals at Bush
Home Services.
Vikane can only be administered by highly trained, state licensed
fumigators. Not all pest control professionals are able to
perform structural fumigations. Check with the
state regulator to be sure you are dealing with a
company that has been properly trained and licensed to do
whole structure fumigation.
No residue worries.
Because it is an inorganic gas, when used according to label
directions, Vikane gas fumigant completely dissipates from
a structure following fumigation, leaving no surface
residue, odor or film behind. This means you will not have
to wash dishes, linens, clothing or furnishings after
fumigation.
How Whole-Structure
Fumigation Works
Our fumigation crew works to “tent” a home prior to
fumigation. When conducting whole-structure fumigation, our
fumigation operator will follow a proven process that has
been used successfully for nearly half a century to ensure
all the drywood termites are eliminated.
Here’s how the fumigation process works:
The fumigation process starts with preparing your home for
fumigation.
Once you’ve prepared your home and left, our fumigation crew
will cover your home with pvc coated tarps – this is called
“tenting” the home.
Once tented, a warning agent is released into the home as a
precaution to ensure that all people have vacated.
Next, all doors are secured using deadbolts, additional
locking devices or barricades to help prevent unauthorized
entry.
Now, fumigation begins – Vikane gas fumigant is released
into the home, filling all air spaces and voids in the wood,
walls, ceiling and floor. Vikane reaches all of the termite
colonies in the structure.
Finally, the tarps are removed and your home is aerated. Our
fumigation professional will check the home with
sophisticated equipment to ensure all of the Vikane has
dissipated from the structure before authorizing reentry.
